OnGuard Smart with Modbus

The 5th generation OnGuard Smart-MB adds Modbus connectivity to Purafil’s proven corrosion and environmental monitoring platform for data centers, industrial facilities, water treatment plants, museums, control rooms, and other critical environments. The system monitors corrosion severity, temperature, humidity, and room pressure, with corrosion classifications based on the ISA 71.04 standard. Fast wall installation and flexible connectivity via web interface, LAN, analog 4–20 mA, and Modbus simplify integration.

ISA ENVIRONMENTAL CLASSES:

AIRBORNE CONTAMINANTS

This standard requires that rooms containing backplane wired equipment, instrumentation, process control systems or computers, must have a G1 environmental classification, defined in terms of corrosion thickness as 0-299 Angstroms (Å) per 30 days on copper and 0-199 Å per 30 days on silver coupons. Purafil provides a report that directly correlates to the G1, G2, G3, and GX ratings.
